Preamble to a career.

This is the first quote I ever put on facebook. I think it’s still mostly true.

I’m one of those creative idea types, and I have far too many ideas to ever put into practice.  So that’s one of the points of this page. My chosen field is art music, so I have a few observations from that world as well.  With any luck, these ideas can be useful to someone with the position to put them into practice.

I live in Nashville, along with a couple (hundred?) thousand artist-thinker-creatives, many of whom also have blogs.  I wonder if I get to be a “creative professional” by just saying so, or do I have to make rent with the money (?!) I earn from creating?
